Lesões musculoesqueléticas e percepção da qualidade de vida em árbitros do futebol Paranaense

Musculoskeletal injuries and quality of life perception in paranaense football refereesThe aim of this study was to assess the incidence and characteristics of musculoskeletal injuries in Paraná football referees, and investigate possible correlations between these lesions and the perception of quality of life related to health (HRQoL). The subjects of this cross-sectional study were 220 male referees football field. All evaluations were performed by interviews. Injuries in the last eight months and its characteristics were evaluated using the Survey of Morbidity. HRQoL was evaluated by Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-36. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation. The results showed a high rate of injuries among the evaluated referees (52.7%), which occurred during the sprint (70.7%), and muscle distension (66.4%) in the thigh (61.2 %) was the commonest type and location. Regarding injury and HRQoL was observed that there was a negative correlation between most domains, ie it indicates that the injury and its characteristics are able to negatively affect the referees HRQoL perception, both of physical and mental aspects, showing correlation between -0.119 to -0.485 indices (p <0.05).O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a incidência e características das lesões musculoesqueléticas em árbitros do futebol paranaense, e investigar possíveis correlações entre essas lesões e a percepção da qualidade de vida relacionada a saúde (QVRS). Participaram deste estudo transversal 220 árbitros de futebol de campo do sexo masculino. Todas as avaliações foram realizadas por meio de entrevista. As lesões nos últimos oito meses e suas características foram avaliadas por meio do Inquérito de Morbidade Referida. Para avaliação da QVRS foi utilizado o instrumento Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-36. Os dados foram analisados por estatística descritiva e correlação de Spearman. Os resultados evidenciaram um elevado índice de lesões entre os árbitros avaliados (52,7%), que ocorreram durante a corrida de velocidade (70,7%), sendo que a distensão muscular (66,4%) na coxa (61,2%) foi o tipo e local mais acometido. Em relação a lesão e a QVRS foi possível observar que houve uma correlação negativa entre a maioria dos domínios, ou seja, indica-se que a lesão e suas características são capazes de afetar negativamente a percepção da QVRS dos árbitros, tanto em relação aos aspectos físicos quanto mentais, apresentando índices de correlação entre -0,119 a -0,485 (p < 0,05
