Efecto de la labranza y fertilizacion organica y/o mineral de una pradera de kikuyo (pennisetum clandestinum) sobre la productividad de cuyes (caviaporcellus)

This experiment was conducted at Botana research farm of the University of Nariño the farm is located at an 3kitude of 2809 m above sea level, with an average temperature of 11°C, annual precipitation of 870 mm and relative humidity of 85% (IDEAM, 2001). On a kikuyo meadow, was made a reduced tilling and organic and or mineral fertilizer took place with the purpose to establish the nutritious value of kikuyo in a behavior test. For this study 160 male Guinea pigs were used with an average weight of 300 g that were randomly allotted to the eight treatments, each treatment with four repetitions of five animals T0A and T0B: kikuyo grass with no fertilizer, TIA and TIB: organic kikuyo grass, T2A and T2B: organic kikuyo grass and mineral and T3A and T3B: mineral kikuyo grass, where A= 15 g of supplement and B= 30 g of supplement. The results showed that the animals under the diet: kikuyo grass with 50% organic and 50% mineral fertilizer and 30 g of supplement, had the best output, corresponding to an average feed intake of 25980 g, weight gain of 3170 g and efficiency of feed utilization of 8.20. because of a suitable nutritional contribution of forage and proper level of supplement. The greatest yield (50.03%) was obtained in the same group of animals and the least was showed in the control group with lower level of supplementation (TOA 24,90%). The best productivity index was showed by T3B (2095 kg of guinea pig/ha/year) and the lowest value was for TOA (330 Kg guinea pig/ha/ year).Esta prueba se llevó a cabo en la granja experimental Botana de la Universidad de Nariño, a una altitud de 2809 msnm, temperatura promedio de 11°C, precipitación pluviométrica anual de 870 mm y una humedad relativa del 85% (IDEAM 2001). Sobre una pradera de kikuyo se hizo laboreo mínimo y fertilización orgánica y/o mineral con el propósito de obtener el forraje que se evalúo en una prueba de comportamiento, para la cual se utilizaron 160 cuyes machos con peso promedio de 300 g. tos que se distribuyeron al azar en 8 tratamientos, cada tratamiento con cuatro réplicas de 5 animales cada uno. T0 A y Tü B:pasto kikuyo cero fertilizante, TI A y TI B.pasto kikuyo orgánico, T2 A y T2B:pasto kikuyo orgánico / mineral y T3 A y T3 B:pasto kikuyo mineral, donde A = 15 g de concentrado y B = 30 g de concentrado. Los resultados demostraron que los animales que recibieron una dieta constituida por pasto kikuyo fertilizado con niveles de 50 % orgánico y 50 % mineral y 30 g de suplemento, presentaron los mejores rendimientos productivos, correspondientes a un consumo de 25980 g, incremento de peso de 3170 y una conversión alimenticia de 8,20 atribuibles a un buen aporte nutricional de! forraje y adecuado nivel de suplementación. La mayor rentabilidad (50,03 %) se obtuvo en este mismo grupo de animales y la menor se observó en el lote testigo con menor nivel de suplementación (T0 A 24,90 %). El mejor índice de productividad lo reportó el T3 B (2095 Kg cuy en pie/ha/año) y el menor valor fue para T0 A (330 Kg cuy en pie/ha/año).
