Revisión bibliográfica. Percepción de cuidados de usuario y profesionales a nivel hospitalario

Background. Caring is the essence of nursing; a process of sharing feelings between nurses and patients. Currently, the process of globalization has triggered a clash of technical and scientific values where patient centered care is losing its value. However, numerous studies indicate that patients and their families value a more humanized and personal caring. Objective. TTo know the patient, family and nurse ́s perception of nursing care. Methodology. Literature review. Period of time: January-May 2014. The sample size was determined considering the selected factors for the search strategy (perception, nursing care, nurses and patient) in the databases: PubMed, SciELO and ProQuest Health & Me-dical Complete. Results. A total of 20 quantitative articles related to the patient’s perception of the nature of caring were included. After analyzing the articles, the different perceptions of the 3 objects of the study were grouped into 6 categories. The most valued category according to the results is the Nurse-patient relationship. On the other hand, Explainations and facilities registers big discrepancies. These are negative in patients and their families, and positive in professional nurses. Conclusions. The relationship that concerns patient and family is the main priority for nursing care. The perception of nursing care depends heavily on it. Nursing education should be geared not only towards the scientific, it should also be geared on the art of care for quality careIntroducción. El cuidado es la esencia de enfermería, un proceso de sensaciones compartidas entre enfermero/a y pa-ciente. Actualmente, el proceso de globalización ha desencadenado un choque de valores donde predominan los valores técnicos-científicos, en los cuales la atención de enfermería centrada en la paciente, no tiene cabida en el culto a la téc-nica. Sin embargo, numerosos estudios indican que los pacientes y sus familiares valoran más un cuidado humanizado y transpersonal. Objetivo. Conocer la percepción de los cuidados enfermeros por parte del paciente, familiar y profesional enfermero. Metodología. Revisión bibliográfica. Periodo de enero- mayo de 2014. El tamaño de la muestra se determinó considerando los descriptores seleccionados para la estrategia de búsqueda (perception, nursing care, nurses, patient) en las bases de datos: Pubmed, Scielo y ProQuest Health&Medical Complete. Resultados. Se incluyeron 20 artículos con carácter mayoritariamente cuantitativo y relacionado con la percepción de los pacientes sobre los cuidados enfermeros. Los artículos se agruparon en 6 categorías sobre las distintas percepciones de los tres objetos de estudio. La categoría mejor valorada es: Relación enfermero-paciente. Por otro lado, Explica y facilita registra grandes discrepancias, siendo negativas en pacientes y familiares y positivas en el profesional. Conclusión. La relación con el usuario es el eje del cuidado. La percepción de los cuidados enfermeros dependerá de ésta, por lo que la formación de enfermería deberá ir encaminada al ámbito científico y al arte del cuidado para obtener cuidados de calidad
