The advance of agricultural activities has become the main threat to the conservation of the forests and the associated ethnobotanical knowledge of these ecosystems. This is the case of the Chilmá Bajo community, located in the Province of Carchi, Northern Ecuador. The aim of this study was to identify the plants extracted from the Chilmá Bajo forest and the community uses of these resources, in order to propose orientations to value and maintain this ethnobotanical knowledge. Eight (8) semi-structured interviews were applied to key community informants, including people of both sexes.
