Environmental education in the professional trainingof Physical Culture degree courseis a suggestive and vital issue, which has been addressed in dissimilar occasions, but it is essential to continue addressing it in different spaces, taking advantage of the possibilities that emerge from the context and especially its urgency.Environmental problems have been insufficiently treated in theory and practice from the curriculum of the Physical Culture degree course, although the disciplines and areas of work that forms it have a huge potential for this , so help harmonize the complex interrelationships between science, technology and society from different formative contexts is a necessity that can trigger the universities. This requires a highly related training process with the changes that occur on the subject, taking into account that new professionals are the quintessential actors who facenot only the development but also the reduction of the gap between the positive and negative effects that also cause science and technology. Only then it could be reached the truly supporting and sustainable development to which we aspire in this century.La educación medioambiental en la formación del profesional de la Cultura Física es un tema sugerente y de vital importancia, que aunque ha sido afrontado en disímiles ocasiones, resulta imprescindible continuar abordándolo en diferentes espacios, aprovechando las potencialidades que emergen de ambos contextos y sobre todo su urgencia. Los problemas medioambientales han sido insuficientemente tratados de forma teórica y práctica desde el currículo de la carrera de Cultura Física, aún cuando las disciplinas y esferas de actuación que lo forma ofrecen enormes posibilidades para ello, por lo que contribuir a armonizar las complejas interrelaciones entre la ciencia, la tecnología y la sociedad desde los distintos contextos formativos es una necesidad en la que pueden accionar las universidades. Para ello se requiere de un proceso formativo altamente relacionado con los cambios que se producen sobre la temática, si se tiene en cuenta que los nuevos profesionales son los actores por excelencia que deben enfrentar no solo el desarrollo, sino también la disminución de la brecha entre los efectos positivos y negativos que también provoca la ciencia y la tecnología. Solo así se podrá alcanzar el verdadero desarrollo sostenible y sustentable al que se aspira en el presente siglo
