During the last two decades, companies have been questioned by the challenges presented by sustainability. Social Responsibility (SR), in a strict historical sense, is an update of the social demands for sustainability taken to sphere of companies. Today companies are unviable if they do not assume a sustainable way of acting on environmental issues, as well as in respectful relationships with communities (social license to operate).
