The present article reflects about early childhood education evaluation in a contextual and institutional scope, as well as its link to the educational public policy of this educational stage in Brazil. It discusses the proposition of a national evaluation policy in early childhood education, highlighting advances and setbacks. It points out the challenge of monitoring and evaluating this offer, including its protagonists in a process of evaluation that constitutes itself formatively and that contributes to the amplification of the service quality and its professionalism.Este artigo reflete sobre a avaliação da educação infantil em âmbito contextual, institucional e sua articulação com a política pública educacional desta etapa, no Brasil. ...
