The present work was carried out in the Plant Physiology Laboratory pf the Agricultural Science College Of the University of Nariño, with the purpose of observing the influence that light has on germination of weed seeds from 20 species, those more predominant and economically important in cold climate crops in Pasto Highland. Seeds were subjects to these treatments: normal environment, darkness, white artificial light, rod and "far red" in function of time or radiation, red and "far red", in function time of incubation and antagonism red-far red and "far red"-ml. The germination proof was conducted in Petri glasses utilizing as a subtract filter paper uniformly wetted with deionized water.Temperature and relative humidity were 20°C ± 2°C...
