The scientific investigation proposes to discuss the paper of tourism in the reorganization of the space in São Luiz do Paraitinga, using as object of study its Carnaval de Marchinhas. The justification is the concern cause by the sensation of lost of touristic attractiveness that immaterial cultural heritage represents to the city after the flood of Paraitinga River, in 2010. The main objective is to understand the biggest impacts and transformations generate through this hydrologic and climatic phenomenon in the celebration and organization of São Luiz’s Carnaval, considering its restructuration, in an exploratory case study.
