The present report analyses the expression of emotion in blind borns by means of a muscular codification of facial movements. This expression, of a more involuntary kind, is similar to that of sighted individuals. However, blind subjects have a lesser and less differentiated expressiveness in voluntary displays. Results, according to prior studies, support the existence of two sources of information in emotional development: one of a genetic nature which might account for similarities in emotional or involuntary expression, and an environmental source which might account for dissimilarities in voluntary expression. Finally, the consequences of this work for various psychological disciplines are discussed.El presente informe analiza la expre...
