The purpose of this article is to analyse informative texts produced by adults in the process of becoming literate through a re-writing tasks from a conventional model. The orthographic, syntactic, lexical, and writer�s point of view were analysed. Results showed that many adults respond to the task with a personal opinion or general comments. This was manifested in declarative verbs, personal pronouns and evaluative expressions.
