A cross-sectional design was used to study the concept of spatial egocentrism in a group of 47 children between 4 and 13 years of age. The results show that from the preschool period, children have the capacity to place themselves in the observers point of view. The capacity to construct other perspectives with various objects, bearing in mind the relationship between them, begins to develop around six years of age. This is closely linked to the childs level of development.
