Objective: To determine the prevalence of pregnancy and demographic,social, family and economic characteristics among adolescents aged 10 to19 years old in the municipality of Carepa, Colombia. Methods: Descriptivestudy, conducted in Carepa, Colombia, between July and September, whichused a survey aimed at seeking information on the prevalence of pregnancyand demographic, social, family and economic characteristics. Descriptivemeasures were applied to present the absolute and relative frequencies ofthe qualitative variables and summary measures for the quantitative variablesand the results are presented in tables and text.
