Empleabilidad de los graduados en Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional de la UISEK Ecuador

Introduction. - Quality in university education implies, assessing the relevance of academic offerings, following up graduates, identifying opportunities for improvement in curriculum, professional profile and graduation. In Ecuador for Occupational Safety and Health (SSO) careers, there is no information on this topic, this paper aims to give the first approxima-tion.Objective. - Analyze the level of labor inser-tion in professionals (SSO Engineering and Master) through surveys, to identify the functions that graduates perform and thus determine the pertinence of career offered by UISEK Ecua-dor.Material and methods. - Descriptive study - comparative; Labor statistics Ecuador (INEC) with data from specialized journals and with information from some universities (including SSO-UISEK career follow-up survey). Informa-tion was processed using descriptive statis-tics.Conclusions. - Level of employability grad-uated in career SSO-UISEK (94%), 2.04 times the national average level; Revenues are above the national index average; Currently relevant careerIntroducción. – Calidad en formación universitaria entre otras cosas implica, evaluar pertinencia de oferta académica, dar seguimiento a graduados, identificar oportunidades de mejora en currículo, perfil profesional y de egreso. En Ecuador para carreras de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional (SSO), no existe información de este tema, este trabajo, pretende dar la primera aproximación. Objetivo. -Analizar nivel de inserción laboral en profesionales (SSO Ingeniería y Maestría) mediante encuestas, para identificar funciones que desempeñan graduados y así determinar pertinencia de carrera que oferta la UISEK Ecuador. Material y métodos. – Estudio descriptivo – comparativo; estadística laboral Ecuador (INEC) con datos de revistas especializadas y con información de algunas universidades (incluye encuesta de seguimiento a graduados carrera SSO-UISEK). Se procesó información mediante estadística descriptiva.
