This research centers on a review of past decade events related to the recognition of the right of care. Both the legal framework and the recognition of rights to care as well as gender diversity were sanctioned in the last decade. The analysis also focuses on the Inter-American Convention on the Protection of Human Rights of Older Persons, recently ratified by the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, which includes the recognition of the right to care explicitly, among other guarantees. As a final remark, the recovery of the value of analyzing the right to care from a universal and transversal perspective is essential to install the proper criteria to comprehend concepts as the right to care, to be cared and our own ri...
