Xinguano shamanism has great freedom and epistemic richness, is a radical space of imagination and creative perception. This study identifies 19 common narrative elements in stories about the transformation into shaman of six payés from Alto Xingú representatives of the communities Yawalapiti, Kamayurá, Waurá, Kuikuro, Kalapalo and Nafukuá; A ten-step structure is proposed to describe this transformation and highlights the transdisciplinary role of payé as creator of healing stories and performance adapted to different sociocultural environments. It emphasizes the correspondence of the payés with the figure of the Mestres in the meeting of knowledge and the importance of theses to carry out intercultural investigations.El chamanismo Xinguan...
