The British Media has recently published some news related to the problems found in the Type 45 Destroyers, Daring class, propulsion system. The problems in these ships, which were commissioned with a two years delay and extra cost of 1.500 million sterling pounds, are to be added to the delays and extra costs in other programs. The situation has reopened the public debate in the United Kingdom around one of the most controversial project in the last years. The debate places some question marks around the feasibility of certain projects, not only related to the Royal Navy, in a very complex framework from the strategic, technological and industrial, and financial domains.
