The study of power in the international system has been the subject of prolific studies by prominent scholars, such as Nye, Kissinger, Bremmer, Zakaria, Naim, Friedman or Kaplan, amongst others. Moreover, loads of literature have been written about specific aspects, such as terrorist groups or the geopolitics of energy. However, the key of this document shall be on the multidisciplinary focus to the concept of power, thereby systematically incorporating to the study of power variables and actors which are rarely included, so as to create a comprehensive model.
