Mali: si no avanza el diálogo político, gana la violencia.

In 2012, Mali succumbed to the biggest security, political and humanitarian crisis since its independence. That year, a coup d´etat ended the democratic regime; while the Tuareg rebels along with jihadist groups destroyed the territorial integrity and national sovereignty in the north. In June 2015, the Algiers Agreement between the government and Tuareg rebels became the mainstay for "the rebirth of Mali". A year later however, there are still many pending issues, as the Jihadist attacks increase both inside and beyond Malian borders. Right now, political dialogue is the only way to stop the evergrowing violence that threatens to shatter the future of Mali, and whose consequences are manifest throughout the region and beyond the African continentEn 2012, Mali sucumbió ante la mayor crisis de seguridad, política y humanitaria que ha sufrido desde su independencia. Aquel año, una asonada militar acabó con el régimen democrático; mientras que los rebeldes tuaregs y los grupos yihadistas aniquilaron la integridad territorial y la soberanía nacional en el norte del país. En junio de 2015, el Acuerdo de Argel entre el Gobierno y los rebeldes tuaregs se convirtió en la base que permitiría «refundar Mali». Sin embargo, un año después, quedan muchos asuntos pendientes, y los atentados yihadistas se extienden dentro y fuera de las fronteras malienses. Hoy, el diálogo político es la única vía para frenar una creciente violencia que amenaza con dinamitar el futuro de Mali, y cuyas secuelas son tangibles en toda la región y fuera del continente africano
