Protesta y movilización estudiantil: el optimismo exaltado

The main purpose of this article is to present an analytical reconstruction of student mobilization and protest in the period 2011-2012, based on the testimony of student leaders of Universidad Nacional of Colombia, who were part of the process of the Students’ National Broad Table. For the reconstruction, six in-depth interviews were conducted with three men and three women, recognized leaders of the movement, from a qualitative research framework. There are highlighted, among the conclusions, the strength and optimism at the beginning of the mobilization, the leading role of the students of Universidad Nacional in the articulation of regions and other universities, the use of means and networks of communication, and the great social legitimacy that the movement achieved, before the rapid decline of the protest, and the loss of a great historical opportunity of concerted changes for higher education.El propósito central de este artículo es presentar una reconstrucción analítica de la movilización y la protesta estudiantil en el periodo 2011-2012, a partir del testimonio de los líderes estudiantiles de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, que hicieron parte del proceso de la Mesa Amplia Nacional Estudiantil. Para la reconstrucción se realizaron seis entrevistas a profundidad a tres hombres y tres mujeres, líderes reconocidos estudiantiles en la época del movimiento desde un marco cualitativo de investigación. Entre las conclusiones se destaca la fuerza y el optimismo del inicio de la movilización, el papel protagónico de los estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional en la articulación de las regiones y de otras universidades, el uso de medios y redes de comunicación y la gran legitimidad social que logró el movimiento antes del rápido declive de la protesta y la pérdida de una gran oportunidad histórica de cambios concertados para la educación superior
