The Jewish Passover and Christian Easter are so different as one might think a priori? Through the application of Todd Holden’s (2001) concept of resignification in the biblical passages related to Easter, this paper attempts to demonstrate that the Christian and Jewish accounts are under the same structural background, to the extent that the major signifiers of Pessach are reinterpreted into the Christian Easter.
