Spatial distribution of the breeding sites of Aedes albopictus in Boyeros municipality, Cuba Aedes albopictus is originally from South-east Asia and has been spread out during the last decades to Africa, Europe and America continents. Its wide distribution is apparently due to transportation of viable eggs in used tires. This mosquito is associated with the transmission of dengue and other arboviruses. Objective.
