In this article unpublished letters exchanged between the Duke of Villahermosa and who will become Cardinal Granvela are shown. These letters contribute to a better understanding of the artistic relations and collecting activities between Flanders and Spain during the second half of the 16th century.Flemish sculptures such as Jonghelinck and painters like Frans Floris, are mentioned in this personal correspondence.
