Questions regarding the identity and specificity of Occupational Therapy have marked the history of the profession process in Brazil and the world, with a diversity of approaches in different countries. Having in mind a historical and contextual analysis and interaction between local and global aspects, we do not want just register a local historic process, but also contribute to reflections on identity construction processes in different contexts.
