Fighting (F) and non-fighting (NF) relationship has been used to characterize the physical demands in taekwondo. The aim of this study is to analyze the time motion activity (F and NF) according to the weight category in taekwondo cadet competitors (12-14 years). Time motion phases (F and NF) of 47 bouts of the first Cadet World Championship according to the weight category (fin, fly, bantam, feather, light, welter, light-middle, middle, light-heavy and heavy) were analyzed. Kruskall-Wallis followed by Mann Whitney U tests were used to analyzed differences between groups (p < 0.05). There are differences in F and NF according to the weight category.
