Historia y prospectiva

The traditional relationship between hístory, historians and time has been transformed profoundly due to the contact with the social sciences. The movement -initiated from the years 1920s- has sped up in the course of the second half of the century. The history, understood like science of the past with the aim of understanding and building the present (Lucien Febvre), has provided the other disciplines -which are sciences of the present to build up the future- with information for establishing his forecasts. The three temporalitics of Fernand Braudel were driven to the future, where they were allowed to place the possible changes: the event, the medium duration of the circumstances and the long duration of thc structures. In this sense, the history was able to make hers, at least in part, the relationship with time, placed under the sign of the indetermination of a plural future, that was proposed -mostly- by the economy.Al contacto de las ciencias sociales, la relación tradicional que la historia y los historiadores mantienen con el tiempo, se ha transformado profundamente: el movimiento iniciado desde los años 1920s se ha acelerado durante el curso del último medio siglo. Ciencia del pasado para comprender y construir el presente, como lo quería Lucien Febvre, la historia ha provisto a las otras disciplinas, definidas como ciencias del presente para construir el futuro, un «resevorio de informaciones» sobre las cuales fundar sus previsiones. Las tres temporalidades de Fernand Braudel, al mismo tiempo, fueron basculadas hacia el futuro, donde permitían encuadrar los cambios posibles: el acontecimiento, la media duración de las coyunturas, la larga duración de las estructuras. De su lado, la historia pudo hacer suya, al menos en parte, la relación con el tiempo, situada bajo el signo de la indeterminación de un futuro con muchas soluciones, que le era propuesto sobre todo por la economía
