Emilia Pardo Bazán en la prensa italiana de principios del siglo XX

The paper focuses on news related to Emilia Pardo Bazán in the Italian press. Mainly on the digital archives available over the internet in both newspapers and magazines. Those documents were published in Italy at the very end of the 19th century or early within the 20th century (both during the writer’s lifetime shortly or after her death). The main references can be found in diverse Italian periodicals such as La Stampa, Regina, I libri del giorno, Il Contemporaneo and La Fiera Letteraria. There we can find different topics ranging from informative or historical or even scientific ones. Needless to say that even the outstanding quality of her short stories translated into Italian altogether with the remarkable and polemical writings on literature paved the way for Italian translations of her short stories; polemical writings on literature, whose echo was heard as far away as Italy; bibliographical reviews in which Doña Emilia is referred to as one of the major personalities of Spanish literary realism. The relevance of these findings can open up new paths to investigating the reception of Emilia Pardo Bazán’s works in Italy.El artículo se centra en la búsqueda de noticias sobre Pardo Bazán en la prensa italiana, más concretamente en los archivos digitalizados disponibles en Internet de periódicos y revistas publicados en Italia entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX, es decir contemporáneos a la escritora o poco posteriores a su fallecimiento. Las referencias encontradas en las publicaciones periódicas La Stampa, Regina, I libri del giorno, Il Contemporaneo y La Fiera Letteraria abarcan temas muy distintos: artículos de divulgación histórica o científica; cuentos de la escritora traducidos al italiano; polémicas literarias cuyos ecos resonaron hasta en Italia; reseñas bibliográficas en las que se cita a Doña Emilia como una de las mayores personalidades de la literatura realista española. La relevancia de las informaciones encontradas hasta ahora puede abrir nuevas pistas de investigación sobre la recepción de la obra de Emilia Pardo Bazán en Italia
