A great part of Para algunos, the last work by Matías de los Reyes published in Madrid in 1640, can be considered an imitation of Della metamorfosi by Lorenzo Selva (Orvieto, 1582). This Italian novel, furthermore, is built upon The Golden Ass by Apuleius (2nd Century).
