La Diócesis de San Pedro Apóstol de Nueva Pamplona: Una iniciativa de reorganización eclesiástica en la Iglesia colombiana durante el siglo XIX

During the nineteenth century The Colombian Catholic Church experienced a process of consolidation determined by a growing internal organization and an affirmation of their social influence. The foundation of the Diocese of Nueva Pamplona in 1835, represents one of the early initiatives such reorganization, focusing on the Tridentine reform and the progressive engagement with the Holy See. This article discusses this early ecclesiastical restoration that combines the creation of the vicarage of the bishopric, the realization of the first pastoral visit, and the creation of diocesan seminary in the period between 1835 and 1853.La Iglesia católica colombiana durante el siglo XIX experimentó un proceso de consolidación determinado por una creciente organización interna y una afirmación de su influencia social. La fundación de la diócesis de Nueva Pamplona en 1835, representa una de las iniciativas tempranas de dicha reorganización, centrada en la reforma tridentina y en la conexión progresiva con la Santa sede. Este artículo trata de estos primeros años de restablecimiento eclesiástico que conjugaba la creación de las vicarías del obispado, la realización de la primera visita pastoral, y la creación del seminario diocesano durante el período comprendido entre 1835 y 1853.
