Corpo e conhecimento em Merleau-Ponty

The work is focused on the problem of knowledge, analyzing it through two main points: the theoretical bond contained at perception level, and the relapse of the same bond inside the relation between the philosophical tradition and the reflection on science. The first point shows the original function of the body, starting from Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology; the second point emphasizes and develops the sense of this rehabilitation of the body inside the theory and practice of scientific research. The result that we try to evidence is a twofold issue: to re-qualify the theoretical valency of the body and, with it, philosophical notions like ‘subjectivity’ and ‘foundation’ as well as to justify, at such level, the need of an interaction between the philosophical theory and the scientific theory and practice. O estudo enfoca o problema do conhecimento, analisando-o através de dois pontos: o vínculo teorético do nível perceptivo e as suas conseqüências para a relação entre a tradição filosófica e a reflexão sobre a ciência. O primeiro ponto mostra a função original do corpo, retomando a fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty; o segundo ponto destaca e desenvolve o sentido dessa reabilitação do corpo frente à teoria e prática da pesquisa científica. O resultado que se busca evidenciar é duplo: requalificar o peso teorético do corpo e, com ele, as noções filosóficas tradicionais, como aquelas de subjetividade e de fundamento; e justificar, a esse nível, a necessidade da interação entre a teoria filosófica e a teoria e prática científicas. El estudio foca el problema del conocimiento bajo dos puntos de análisis: el vínculo teorético del nivel perceptivo y las consecuencias para la relación entre la tradición filosófica y la reflexión sobre la ciencia. El primer punto muestra a la función original del cuerpo, retomando la fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty; el segundo punto destaca y desenvuelve el sentido de esta rehabilitación del cuerpo frente a la teoría y practica de la pesquisa científica. El resultado que se busca evidenciar es doble: recalificar el peso teorético del cuerpo y con el las nociones filosóficas tradicionales, como aquellas de subjetividad y de fundamento; y justificar, a este nivel, la necesidad de interacción entre la teoría filosófica y la teoría y práctica científicas.
