Although last century was the scenery of many and heated debates about the natural-supernatural binomial, even today there continues to appear writings that rehash and intensify the polemic. In this sense, Cajetan's figure becomes visible as one of the major persons responsible of misinterpreted the doctrine of God's natural desire in Aquinas. In accordance with these ideas, this work tries to verify and compare the Cajetan's teaching –specially by means of the hermeneutic and critical reading of certain key texts– with those of Thomas Aquinas.
