Mecanismos de debreagem e embreagem actanciais empregados na língua falada

This study aims to discuss the constitution of the category of person in political discourse. We intendto analyze the meaning effects produced by actantial mechanisms of shifting out and shifting in employed inconversation. The theoretical framework of this work is mainly based on Semiotic concepts, from a textualinteractive perspective of spoken language in relation to the principles of Conversation Analysis. The corpus iscomposed of transcriptions of the debate between the candidates Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Geraldo Alckmin,who were at the time running for the presidential position. This debate was aired on October 8, 2006, by thetelevision broadcasting channel, Rede Bandeirantes. We decided to work with some parts of the first block, whichpresented the most important elements for the analysis. Assuming that every politician is concerned with obtainingthe adhesion of the interlocutor and, consequently, getting their votes, it is natural that their goal is to preservea positive image by addressing their speech to the viewers/listeners. In the initial part of the debate, however,the candidates have to ask their questions to one another, in a face-to-face interaction situation, even though theaudience and journalists are present. In spite of the fact that the direct addressee seems to be the opponent, infact, the real addressee is the audience.Este estudo tem por objetivo discutir a constituição da categoria de pessoa no discurso político, analisando os efeitos de sentido produzidos pelos mecanismos de debreagem e embreagem actanciais empregados na conversação. O arcabouço teórico deste trabalho consiste, portanto, em uma abordagem textual-interativa da língua falada, pautada, sobretudo, em conceitos da semiótica em relação de interface com formulações advindas da análise da conversação. O corpus é composto de transcrições do debate entre os candidatos à presidência da República Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva e Geraldo Alckmin, realizado no dia 8 de outubro de 2006, transmitido pela TV Bandeirantes. Vale ressaltar que optamos por trabalhar com trechos do primeiro bloco, os quais apresentam elementos mais pertinentes à análise. Considerando-se que todo político tem como finalidade maior a adesão dos eleitores e, consequentemente, seus votos, há uma grande preocupação com a imagem que querem passar à sociedade e, por isso, as exposições são voltadas, sobretudo, aos telespectadores. Porém, na parte inicial do debate, embora haja a presença da plateia e de jornalistas, os candidatos devem dirigir suas perguntas e respostas um ao outro, em uma situação de interação face a face, Assim, mesmo que o destinatário direto pareça ser o oponente, o real destinatário é o público
