This article examines the controversy inherent in Celestina and how editors, critics and translators have unsuccessfully attempted to impose a fixed interpretation on the work. Focusing on the first known edition of the Comedia and on its illustrations, this study will show how Celestina, as a book and a woman, cannot be owned.Este artículo examina la controversia intrínseca a Celestina y cómo editores, críticos y traductores han intentado infructuosamente imponer una interpretación fija sobre la obra.
