Noción de educador tradicional mapuche en contextos urbanos, desde la perspectiva de la dupla pedagógica

This article defines the concept of the traditional urban Mapuche educator, identifies their contributions in two categories: knowledge and the know-how. In this sense, it discusses the way the mentor teacher, as a representative of the Chilean hegemonic and majority culture, understands the Mapuche educator. Thus, the concept that he constructs does not reflect what a traditional educator really is, from the epistemic point of view and from the knowledge of Mapuche. The latter is understood as Kimün, wisdom that includes not only knowledge and respect for nature and others, but also their reciprocity.El artículo define la noción de educador tradicional mapuche urbano, identifica sus aportes desde las categorías del saber y del saber hacer. En este sentido, problematiza en la comprensión que el profesor mentor, como representante de la cultural chilena mayoritaria y hegemónica, tiene del educador. Así, el concepto que construye no refleja lo que realmente es un educador tradicional, desde el punto de vista epistémico y desde el conocimiento mapuche, entendido este último como kimün, saber que incluye no solo el conocimiento y el respeto a la naturaleza y al otro, sino también la reciprocidad entre ellos
