Conceptualización de un corredor ecológico vial en Bogotá

Ecological corridor implementation is one the most popular conservation strategies to facilitate movement of ecological processes in fragmented landscapes. The reliability of corridor planning depends on economic, social and biophysical variables that change from one place to another. The objective of this paper is to present a methodological approach to implement an ecological corridor along Bogotá � Villavicencio Highway, taking into consideration the participation of community near the project, the biophysical conditions of the area and the technical limitations to plant vegetation close to the engineering structures.La implementación de corredores ecológicos es una de las estrategias de conservación más conocidas para facilitar el flujo de procesos ecológicos en paisajes fragmentados por acción antrópica. La efectividad de los corredores depende de variables económicas, sociales y biofísicas, las cuales varían de un lugar a otro. Este artículo presenta una aproximación metodológica para implementar un corredor ecológico sobre la vía Bogotá �Villavicencio, tomando en cuenta la participación de la comunidad aledaña al área del proyecto, el potencial biofísico y las limitaciones para plantar vegetación cerca de las obras civiles de esta vía
