Estereotipos e identidad de género en la conductas de acoso escolar

This paper explores the relation between gender stereotyping and bullying. The sample is com- prised by 1835 students from the 4th to 6th grade of Primary school and 2279 students from Secondary school from Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). Gender stereotypes have been measured with Children ́s Personal Attributes Questionnaire (Hall & Halberstadt, 1980) and Bem Scale. The levels of school aggression have been assessed through Instrument to assess the incidence of involve- ment in bully/victim interactions at school (Rugby & Bagshaw, 2003). In accordance with results previously obtained in a sample with adults of our context (López-Sáez, Morales & Lisbona, 2008), the relationship among trait and role levels has a low significance. In the Primary students the evo- lution of gender role has a higher significance at work-related than in family roles. In the study of gender traits boys and girls show traditional differential characteristics. La muestra está compuesta por 1835 estudiantes de 4º a 6º grado de Educación Primaria y 2279 estudiantes de Educación Secundaria. Los estereotipos de género se midieron con el Children ́s Personal Attributes Questionnaire (Hall & Halberstadt, 1980) en los estudiantes de Primaria y con la escala de Bem en los estudiantes de Secundaria. En concordancia con los resultados obtenidos en investigaciones previas en adultos de nuestro contexto (López-Sáez, Morales & Lisbona, 2008), entre rasgos y roles se obtuvo una baja relación. En los estudiantes de Primaria la evolución del rol de género en el tra- bajo es más significativa que en los roles familiares. Los rasgos de género mostraron diferencias en las características tradicionales entre hombres y mujeres. Los resultados confirman el papel de la estereotipia en el acoso entre pares (Gianluca & Pozzoli, 2006)
