The aim of this paper is to analyse the Physical Education in Teacher Education (PETE) in introducing elements of reflection and proposals considering both the curriculum and the contents used in this curriculum. We will do this based on the conviction that the most important issues in our field will be decided on a policy framework that prioritizes social and economic issues grounded on research and expert opinions.
