Benzene is a hydrocarbon frequently used in the chemical industry and considered to have high toxicological risk. For this reason, biological monitoring of exposed workers is an important preventive measure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate urinary trans, trans-muconic acid levels (t,t- MA) as a biological indicator of benzene exposure and associated hepatic, renal and hematological profiles in workers at a gas station in San Felipe, Yaracuy State, using a cross-sectional study design.
