La oferta de trabajo sexual masculino en el Perú: Su interacción con las demandas del turismo internacional

Male Sex Work in Peru and its Interaction with the Demands of International Tourism. Tourism in Peru, one of the main tourist destinations in the world, is rapidly expanding. Although LGBT tourism is still incipient, other forms of tourism, such as business tourism, show an increasingly greater presence. This article explores the relationship between male sex work and tourism (especially male tourists) in the country's three major tourist regions: Lima, Cusco and the Amazonía, and evaluates the progress achieved in adapting this activity to international agreements on sex work, people displacement, public health and human rights.La oferta turística en Perú, país entre los más visitados del mundo, va en franco aumento. Aunque el turismo LGBT es aún incipiente, otras formas de turismo como el de negocios, van ganado una mayor presencia. Este trabajo explora la relación entre turismo y trabajo sexual masculino, en particular el dirigido a turistas varones, en las tres regiones de mayor afluencia turística del país: Lima, Cuzco y la Amazonía. Además evalúa los avances obtenidos en los esfuerzos por adecuar esta actividad a los acuerdos internacionales sobre trabajo sexual, desplazamiento de personas, salud pública y derechos humanos
