Visitas guiadas accecibles en el theatro José De Alencar en Fortaleza, Brasil

This study is based on the relationship between cultural institutions and visually impaired, with regard to their access to culture and tourism. Audio description (AD) is an accessibility feature directed to the blind, used in theater, film, TV, through an additional narration that describes the environment, action, body language and expression of the characters. In the city of Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, this feature has been inserted into the guided tour of the Theatro José de Alencar (TJA). The objective was to analyze the benefits offered by the inclusion of audio description to guidance of the TJA. The issue presented questioned, whether this feature when applied to the guided tour of the TJA can be adopted as a model of tourism aimed at the blind. The research was based mainly on theoretical postulates established by Machado (1991) and Vygotsky (1993). The method encompassed the steps bibliographic, documental and field research. It was shown that to the guided tour audiodescrita be devoted to tourism, it is essential that resources for example investments, training people, adequate spaces in order to meet the needs of potential customers. It was concluded also that there are few unified actions on the part of public and private initiative, aimed at the integration of visually impaired people within the tourism sector.Esta investigación se fundamenta en la relación entre las instituciones culturales y los discapacitados visuales en lo que concierne al acceso de éstos a la cultura y al turismo. La audio descripción (AD) es un recurso de accesibilidad dirigido a los ciegos utilizado en el teatro, el cine o la televisión por intermedio de una narración adicional que describe el ambiente, la acción, el lenguaje y la expresión corporal de los personajes. En la ciudad de Fortaleza (Ceará, Brasil) ese recurso fue incluido en la visita guiada al Theatro José de Alencar (TJA). Se intentó analizar los beneficios propuestos por la inserción de audio descripciones a las visitas guiadas del TJA. El problema presentado cuestionó si ese recurso, cuando se aplica a la visita guiada del TJA, puede ser adoptado como modelo de actividad turística dirigido a los ciegos. La investigación se fundamentó principalmente en los postulados teóricos establecidos por Machado (1991) y Vygotsky (1993). La metodología abarcó las etapas bibliográfica, documental y de campo. Se comprobó que para que la visita guiada audio descripta sea volcada al turismo, es imprescindible la existencia de recursos tales como inversiones financieras, capacitación de personas y la adecuación de espacios a fin de satisfacer las necesidades de esos clientes potenciales. Se concluye que existen pocas acciones unificadas por parte de la iniciativa pública y privada volcadas a la inserción de los discapacitados visuales en el ámbito del sector turístico
