The vegetables especially those eaten raw, such as lettuce, are of great importance to public health because they are widely consumed by the population, and may contain different evolutionary forms of parasites, serving as an important route of transmission of intestinal parasites. The objective of this study was to evaluate the possible presence of intestinal parasites in lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) marketed in Umuarama/PR.
