Políticas sociais sobre drogas: um objeto para Serviço Social brasileiro

Several actors and interests are subject for discussion in the political field on the best policy regarding drug use to be implemented in Brazil. This article aims at contributing to deepen the debate about the complex phenomenon of drug use and the effects of prohibitions. A dialogue among bibliographical and empirical researches was conducted and shows how the unequal combination of forces is explicit nowadays in antagonist directions: on one side the effects of drug use prohibitions increase leading to a criminal policy associated with public fund privatization actions; on the other side the political organization to resist and fight for the reinvention of a new non criminalized sociability regarding drug use increases. As a result we emphasize that the investigation and struggles of the Brazilian Social Service contribute to strengthen this critical hegemony of the drug domainDiferentes atores, interesses e idéias estão em discussão no campo político sobre qual é a melhor política de drogas a ser implementada pelo governo brasileiro. Uma combinação desigual de forças se explicita na atualidade em direções antagônicas: de um lado, aumentam-se os efeitos do proibicionismo às drogas e sua conseqüente política criminal associada às configurações da privatização do fundo público; e de outro, cresce a organização política para resistir e lutar para reinventar uma nova sociabilidade não criminalizada com os usos das drogas.
