Aplicación de la teoría de receptores al efecto inhibidor de melatonina en tejido uterino de rata

Melatonin is secretea by tbe pineal gland. In vitro, this neurohormone inhibits muscular contraction of tracheohronchial, duodeno, ileo, colon and utero tissue. The inhibition effect on uterin tissue was analyzed on the Occupation Recipients Theory. Horn uterine of male wistar rat estrogenized mere employed. The register of muscular contraction mere realized with technical in vitro. The melatonin inhibition effect on spontaneous activity and contraction induced by carbachol were analyzed. Melatonin causes the disminution of spontaneous activity and right displaced the dose-response curves of carbachol. The pharmacological analyses with recipients theory shows that inhibitor effect is not pharmacologically antagonistic. Melatonin causes the disminution of efficacy and intrinsic activity of carbachol. This study suggests what action mechanic is physiologically antagonistic.La glándula pineal está presente en gran número de vertebrados y participa en la regulación funcional de órganos endocrinos y procesos conductuales sobre los que influyen variaciones fotoperiódicas (Axeirod, 1974). En mamíferos, es un órgano endocrino que forma parte del sistema de células APUD (.amine precursor uptake and descarboxílation) (Reiter, 1980). De los Índoles pineales, la melatonina (MEL) es la hormona más ampliamente estudiada; es sintetizada y secretada conforme a un patrón circádico regulado por el ciclo luz-oscuridad. La glándula pineal no es la única fuente endógena de MEL en vertebrados, pues también se ha descrito su síntesis en glándula harderiana, retina y tracto intestinal (Cardinali, 1972; Bubenick, 1980)
