The objective of thisexperiment was to select bean genotypes with high yieldpotential, wide adaptation, multiple disease resistance andtolerance to acid soils. For that reason, during the Fall-Winter1999-2000 cycle, a uniform yield trial was conducted in fourenvironments in Veracruz and Chiapas, Mexico. Sixteengenotypes were evaluated, including the varieties NegroJamapa as a regional control. A randomized Complete Blockdesign with three replications was used. Grain yield wasevaluated by means of individual and combined analysis ofvariance and stability parameters.
