Introduction. This research study analyses the Twitter accounts of the most successful radio sports programmes in Spain. These types of journalistic programmes use this social network to increase their visibility and the influence and impact of their messages on the Internet. Method. We analysed the 3,200 most recent messages posted in the accounts of each of the most listened-to radio sports programmes, based on a list of 20 indicators divided into four major groups: potential influence, activity, interaction and user reactions. Conclusions. The results confirmed the impact of the messages posted by radio sports programmes on the social network.
