La incorporación de lanceros indígenas al servicio de frontera en tiempos de la organización nacional (Buenos Aires, 1862-1876)

The paper aims to analyse the addition of the indios amigos -i.e. indian friends- of Buenos Aires in the frontier service between 1862 and 1876. This period is part of the process of nation State formation, in which the successive governments had to deal various armed conflicts, in opposition to their attempts of centralization and control. How important was the weight of indigenous participation within the ranks of the army during the period?, how the indians were inducted into military service? These questions guide the development of the paper, with which we intend to make a contribution to the study of relations between indigenous groups of the Buenos Aires frontier and the State during the period.El artículo se propone indagar acerca de la incorporación de los indios amigos de Buenos Aires en el servicio de frontera entre 1862 y 1876. Este período se enmarca en el proceso de formación del Estado nación, en la cual los gobiernos de turno debieron afrontar diversos conflictos armados en oposición a sus intentos de centralización y control. ¿Cuán importante fue el peso de la participación indígena entre las filas del ejército durante el período?, ¿de qué forma los indios eran incorporados al servicio militar? Estos interrogantes guían el desarrollo del trabajo, con el cual pretendemos realizar un aporte al estudio de las relaciones entre el Estado y las agrupaciones indígenas asentadas en la frontera bonaerense durante el período
