This article discusses some features that the problems of care have and the relationships with this problems and the welfare regimes in Latin America. For this, Its describe the demographic transition effects, population aging, changes in the family and poverty. Based on data from ECLAC and UNESCO of 16 Latin American countries argued that the problem of care has a double process of defamiliarization and commodification.
