This paper presents a linguistic and philosophical interpretation of the problem of gender. It will be stated that the command for inclusion has an interpretive character, that the formal changes cannot be turned into the distinctive note of linguistic inclusion, for they just contribute to deepen the conflict and to make unnecessarily confusing the using of language. If difference is the fundamental subject-matter, the formal inclusion will not put an end to it; and if equality is the main problem, it will not be necessary to modify the already capricious generic aspect of language for other caprices, not only confusing, but dangerous.
