Turismo sustentável e globalização: Impasses e perspectivas

This article presents reflections reading the problems and perspectives of the sustainable tourism in the globalization context. Globalization concepts and the development of sustainable tourism are discussed. The analysis of these concepts allows the formulation of the following question: is it possible to talk about sustainable tourism in a society that is dicted by a globalization process, which, in essence, selects and excludes people and places? The considerations presented in this article don’t extinguish the subject, quite the opposite, they have to provoke new refletions.Este artigo apresenta algumas reflexões acerca dos impasses e perspectivas do turismo sustentável no contexto da globalização. São discutidos brevemente os conceitos de globalização, desenvolvimento e turismo sustentável. A análise desses conceitos permite formular a seguinte questão: é possível falar em turismo sustentável numa sociedade regida por um processo de globalização que, na sua essência, seleciona e exclui pessoas e lugares? As considerações apresentadas não esgotam a amplitude da temática em apreço, ao contrário, buscam suscitar novas reflexões
