Conflicto fronterizo Tailandia – Camboya: el Templo de Preah Vihear como fuente de confrontación

El presente artículo analiza los recientes sucesos acontecidos entre Camboya y Tailandia por el contencioso histórico entre ambos países por la posesión del templo de Preah Vihear en la frontera común. Junto a ello, se muestran las derivaciones políticas internas de dicho enfrentamiento y las posibles consecuencias internacionales de este conflicto en la totalidad de la región asiática. El conflicto por Preah Vihear es sólo uno más en la larga cadena de focos de tensión dentro del Sureste Asiático y marca el camino para que otros conflictos que están latentes en la región puedan explotar.The present article analyzes the recent events occurred between Cambodia and Thailand caused by the control of the temple of Preah Vihear in the common border. Along to it, the article shows the internal political derivations of this confrontation and the possible international consequences of this conflict in the totality of the Asian region. The conflict of Preah Vihear is only one more crisis in the long chain of tension spots within Southeast Asia and shows the way that other conflicts that are latent may explode
